Ask yourself, "Does my family want to hear me and the missus rocking, groaning and snorting like pigs in heat?"

Therein lies your answer.

I think we are quiet for the most part. Being self aware of the sounds you are making is different with kids in the next room rather than adults.

I remember going a trip with my girlfriend and her parents in college. We had one hotel room with two double beds. I woke her up in the middle of the night and had a little side doggy style. That is the go-to position. If the parents wake up, you can act like you're just spooning. Good times

So let me see if I get this- your gf's parents let you sleep together in the same bed and they are in a bed next to you ?

In college flew back home for the holidays. Girlfriend's and my family lived about 140 miles a part. So we stayed half at her folks half at mine. We were good for 3-4 days since the bed we slept on was squeaky. Finally neither of us could wait any longer (wood bed) the frame completely broke. Her moms boyfriend worked from home so I broke the news to him thinking he owned the bed. He was only upset his daughter was visiting in a few days and would be using the guest room but laughed cause it ended up being my girlfriend's mom's bed from her high school days. The mom was a good sport about it nobody was angry. But I would say don't do that.
