isn’t it a little weird that large chunks of people have the same wrong memory?

No. Large chunks of people are stupid.

on that we agree 100%

How could anyone have believed Mandela died in prison? They never shut up about the guy. It was a big deal when he got out and got elected president of South Africa. You had to be living under a rock or a complete airhead to not know what was going on with him.

I don't disagree with you.
because I have zero memory of anything other than him getting out of prison and becoming president. Hell, I didn't even know people thought he died until this whole "Mandela Effect" started getting talked about.

people not remembering specifics or remembering wrong shite is easy to believe/understand.

large chunks all "remembering" the same wrong details is fricking weird though.

I mean I'm getting older so my memory ain't what it once was.
but the shite my memory gets wrong is usually corrected by people that still remember it correctly.

I wouldn't be surprised if others also get that memory wrong because memory fricking up happens.

but I would expect my wrong memory and their wrong memory to likely differ from each other. at least a little.

to have the exact same wrong details in a wrong memory is just fricking strange.
