Applying for a job at a local plant and have a test coming up soon. I know different types of plants may test differently.
Any tips or pointers you guys can give out to someone that has never taken this test before. I have been practicing mechanical aptitude test. Any help is appreciated.

Make sure to bring a valid ID, PPE, a pair of truck nuts and your plan to try and retire at 55

Do you know if it's a COBRA test?
And if you could hint at the company it might be a little more help. Little batch plant might have a COBRA, panel interview, and set you out with a wrench. Some of the bigger ones have a more grueling process that ends up being more "luck of the draw" than anything
Eta: COBRA is essentially a computer simulated run of the processes you'd deal with once you made Board Operator. Learn up on hydraulics. They're trying to see how you react to adverse situations (ie if you panic and send product to flares too often)

No, It doesn't involve COBRA i'm pretty positive. The test is before the interview. Basic use of mechanics along with math is what they test.

Then just do a bunch of those online mechanical aptitude tests as a way to get prepped. Should be good. Present yourself well at the interview. If you're green to plant life dont try to lie and act like a hand because it'll be obvious you arent.

Online mechanical aptitude tests, and maybe a personality test. They like to see how you react to adverse situations. Just answer like you think you’re supposed to, but make sure to be consistent with your thought process
