When my daughter started at Baylor in 2014, you pretty much needed at least a 26 and very high GPA to be considered which was no problem for her (32 & 4.0). I read this year it's up to around a 28. They only accept roughly 3500 Freshman each year, so it's pretty competitive.

We had planned visits to a bunch of schools and was doing a swing through Texas. She had visited Tulane, LSU, and Tech prior. After the Baylor visit she was blown away, she said cancel all the other visits this is where I want to be. We still went to TCU, SMU, and UT but her mind was made up.
