On April 18, 1934, the first laundromat (called a “washateria”) was opened by John F. Cantrell in Fort Worth, Texas; four electric washing machines were rented to members of the public on an hourly basis.

This picture reminds me of 8th grade. We were assigned desks alphabetically. The girl behind me would always wear flats like that and take her shoes off. I’d be sitting there in my desk and all of a sudden I’d smell a mix of cheese & vinegar. You’d think she’d have been self conscious about it, but instead she thought it was funny if I said anything.
