Photos of the new 300 Series LandCruiser (which you can't get) have leaked

Such a shame Toyota pulled these from the North American market, right when they get an updated interior. No more V8 also, which is a bummer, engine options are 3.3L turbo diesel or twin turbo V6.

When are they going to update the Sequoia?

Sucks it won't come to the US in that trim, but should at least be fun to see what Lexus does with this in LX trim. Now if they would just get off their arse and update the GX, I'd finally be able to buy a new car.

I honestly want one more now than ever. I guess I'll settle for a used on in the not so distant future.

I've been wanting Toyota to offer the Prado in the US for a while, something to fill the gap between the 4Runner and LandCruiser.

Maybe it could grow on me, but upon first glance, I think that they are kind of ugly.

I don’t love it. The smiley face grill is weird. It also looks big and bloated.
They are going after the Escalade and Range Rover clearly. Which is a mission best suited to the Lexus version in the US.

Twin turbo v6 is a much better engine than the v8

Call me when the FJ Cruiser comes back.

That would be my ideal scenario. Unfortunately I don't think it will ever happen since the 4Runner reins supreme in the US. So, I'll settle for a GX that has something newer than 2009 technology.
ETA: It is kinda nice being able to grab off lease GXs for cheap since soccer moms love them.

I have a 100 series with just over 100,000 miles I’ll sell you for 65k.

That's exactly what a gx460 is. You don't want the lexus badge?

Wow looks like a Nissan front end. Do not want.

Gotta compete with Ford & Chevy. Get ready for the 10 speed tranny too.

If you miss the J60 or J80, your best bet for a modern version is the 4Runner TRD Off Road. It has all more off road hardware than the older LC’s ever had, and they aren’t oversized like the new Land Cruisers.
They even make a TRD PRO version that is a little more Bro-Dozer with blacked out wheels and bigger tires. But I think those look ridiculous even though they are awesome.
Toyota is clearly struggling with the Land Cruiser’s identity with the 200 and 300 series. It’s no longer an off road truck. It’s turning into a luxury vehicle focused on comfort like the Escalade.
