Stay on his arse about getting internships every summer. Could be the difference in whether he gets a full-time job or not coming out of school. Up until a few years ago it was almost a given that everyone graduating in PE would have a job prior to graduation. From what I'm hearing that's not the case anymore

Like others have said, he will take basic classes the first year. Those usually have good/easy/bad/hard professors that you can choose; I would recommend the two links posted which rate the professors.

When he starts taking PETE classes, he won't have a choice. Just tell your son to develop good study habits and attack school head on rather than avoiding negative situations.
