I had mine cremated, but chose not to get the ashes back. I did get pawprints and locks of hair.
I live in the suburbs now, and don't have a lot of yard to dedicate to burials. I grew up in the sticks, though, and my Dad would dispose of of pets in the woods.
I actually thought about a pet cemetery. I liked the idea of a permanent memorial. The two within driving distance are defunct, though.

Indeed. When our hound died a few years back, the tiller was priceless. Tiller is gone now, so the next pup will likely be cremated and buried in the same area of the yard with a similar memorial stone.
I will not think too hard about the provenance of the ashes.

Depends on the level you pay. I think the cheapest option they do a batch cremation.
But if you pay more you get a stand alone.
It wasn't cheap and it came with prints and a silicone mold of their nose and a nice urn.
Idk i only did it once. I used to bury my dogs but my last was not only splecial she was over 100 pounds and too big to bury.

Even if you don’t get yours back it’s still better than the alternative of burying it in the wrong place.

How deep do you bury a pet to keep the raccoons and vermin from digging it up?
You don't, this is the way for your pet to live in.

the in house pet murder is like $200 and doesn't stress them out.
It's closer to $700-$1000 around ATL.

One of my biggest "pet peeves" about my area, vet costs are at least double what they would be in a small town.
