I live in a place where no one comes to scope my garbage. Everything I throw away fits inside the container, so even if they were to drive-by, they'd have to stop and open the lid. That is not going to happen.

If I have something too large to fit in the container, I bring it to my work and dumpster it there. If it's an old yard equipment, someone there can look it over and decide whether they want it for scrap or parts. I use stuff up, my weed eater is a commercial grade Shindaiwa from 2000. Still starts on the second pull every time in spite of Katrina covering it up with water. I fix fixable stuff.
