No complaints with the Valspar or Behr. I really liked the Valspar that consumer reports ranked high about 6 years ago. Painted my old house in that...was great. The crap SW that my new house was painted in is the worst paint I have ever had on my walls. Complete shite imho. No idea what "line" of SW, but it freaking sucks.

I find Behr to be very good. Painted my house 6 years ago and the paint still looks good. When we bought the house we had one room that was painted all dark blue, ceiling and everything. Converted it to light silver and it covered like a champ.

BM is best hands down, but as others have indicated - it is pricey
I've been doing old-house renovations since `81 and quite a few at that. I tend to go with SW, Behr, what's on sale, and buy 5gal drums... Having said that, Benjamin Moore is noticeably better than anything out there. If money is no object, it's the way to go.

Used to use Valspar and now use Behr Ultra. Painter friend swears paint doesn't matter and gets a PPG brand and says if you change colors count on 2 coats regardless of paint brand. He also claims the primer + paint stuff is marketing crap. He'll go match whatever color you want.
