Overnight weekend parking in Downtown Houston

Can you anyone help a clueless brother out, never stayed overnight in downtown Houston.. what's the Best (ie relatively safe and cheap) garage or lot option for overnight parking in downtown Houston Saturday afternoon to Sunday morning.. around Allen Center preferably *** and an option besides valet.

Well unless your staying in a tent with the bums, I assume your hotel has valet parking.

I've parked overnight in the theater district parking and never had an issue. It's $15 a day. Just stay away from Tranquitlity Park. For some reason the city has allowed bums to colonize there and it's everything but tranquil right now.
