The property taxes in Collin County are high. But you get good schools, public services, police, fire, etc.
We are in Frisco but are part of Denton County. All the same school district & services but lower property taxes. It's not a huge difference, though.

Plano is not. Like someone else said, many if the areas of Plano that used to be white are now trending towards an Indian/Asian population, especially among families with young kids.
If you have young kids and you're sending them to public school, I'd recommend McKinney.
A lot of Indians are moving to east Frisco. One gated community, Richwoods, is about 85% Indian FYI. As also stated, a lot of Asians in north Plano as well. I like McKinney's area too but taxes are a tad bit higher in McKinney than in Frisco. Any of areas are good. House prices are up a bit with Liberty Mutual and Toyota's National HQ moving here. A few months ago, house were being sold way over offer price and sight unseen.

Also Frisco was named the number one city in U.S. for youth sports. There are a TON of activities for youth, from soccer, football, baseball, etc. to competitive cheer, dance and so on.
We moved to Frisco in 1993 when there was only about 5000 people here. We have seen it grow to the city of 150K and are very happy how it has evolved compared to how it could have evolved.

I'd move to Celina in a heartbeat if I could.
The youth sports in Frisco are pretty amazing. So many specialized training centers for kids. Ridiculous actually.
