Strokes are no joke. My old boss retired when covid hit, but maybe a year or less before that, he had a mini stroke. He seemed to recover fine and it didn't mess him up too bad that I know of.

Now as a kid my grandma had a massive stroke that left her one side of her body paralyzed. They said she had a bunch of mini strokes and then finally had a massive stroke. Such a goddamn shame. That is such a terrible way to go out, as she wasn't hardly there mentally either.

But people look out for the stroke signs. I was just in high school, but my grandma picked up one day after school to take me home. Now she lived in this area for 30+ years (small town) and should have known ever nook and cranny. But that day, she was asking me which way to get home. I thought it was funny she was asking me this, but it was a tale tale sign of a stroke. She probably already had a mini stroke or two at that point. I wish I would have known about the stroke signs, maybe something could have been done.
