Can you change the thermal switch on a Whirlpoor gas water heater..?
Mine started to kick off about a year ago and it is doing it more frequently..
I turned the temp down, which seems to work; however, it eventually cuts off..
Not getting an error code, just the three second normal operation status light blink..
Called the service number and the guy suggested a service tech come out..
Just checking beforehand to see if this is possible..

I had one of those switches replaced a few years ago.
