I need to spruce the front of the house up. I saw a house that was similar to mine but looked sharp. It had what is known as "monkey grass" around the front with some other shrubs and stuff behind it.

Anyone have any experience with doing this sort of thing?

What is the best kind of monkey grass to get, where can I get the best deal on it in the Central/Baton Rouge area? I'd estimate that I need around 65 ft of border when you account for some of the curves.

You've come to the right place as LSU is the No. 1 school for landscape architecture.

its not monkey grass most likely. it's probably liriope. you can buy it at any home depot. it isn't expensive and you plant it in a row. estimate 1 per LF so you need about 70 of them. They are probably $4 a piece. maybe $5.
