Worst case scenario is that you pay your deductible and then they drop your kid and you pay 3x for them to be solo.

Source: had video evidence of other party at fault in parking lot and State Farm settled 50/50 and dropped my daughter.

3rd page now and I didn't see what the "damage cost" was. I mean Fender Bender can mean a lot of different things. Under $1K do you really want insurance involved? Rates will be higher the next several years, probably more than $1k worth of damage. If $3k+ in damage it might be worth the claim.
