Fragniappe in Slidell was pretty cool this year. Met Mr.Saltwater tank. The colors on some of their Acans were stunning. I picked up a few ricordeas.

When I lived in Iowa I was up in Minneapolis one day and went by BRS to check it out. Ryan wasn't there though which was a bummer, but the staff there was all cool

Have you ever moved a tank?

I've moved a big freshwater one. Transfer fish to a small aquarium. Vacuum out as much water as possible down to like 1/4" in the bottom, then tilt it to one end and siphon her rest out.

I'm not sure it's possible with a reef though. Can't move a tank with any significant amount of water in it. And draining a reef will probably kill it pretty fast.

I've moved my nano twice. Lost fish both times, surprisingly, but the coral all did fine.

I had a gramma that buried itself in the live rock as if it knew the move was coming. He swam out about three days after the move and was pretty banged up. Apparently the stress brought on ich. I hadn't changed or added anything in months but once that shite started, all the fish ended up dead. I couldn't treat copper due to corals so I did a few big water changes, added a UV sterilizer and waited two months before restocking.

I used small Tupperware for the corals, seemed to work well. Saved as much of the original water as possible then checked temp and salinity frequently when putting things back together.

I have moved reefs twice. Once was within the same apartment complex. It was relatively painless.

I moved it from Shreveport to OKC and lost zero fish and corals. It was a massive production and stressful. I swore I'd never move a tank that far again. I would only move one again if it's within a 20 mile radius max.

Yea. LiveAquaria had them on sale a while back.

My damn perc at the office has been in the 14g with a RBTA for almost two months and hasn't gone in. I've considered picking up another perc to show him what he's supposed to do. Lol.

GSP? Seems to be spreading pretty well. I considered it for the back wall but the coralline took off recently. I like that look and it was free so I left it.

Yeah I am going to have to cut it back. It was a quarter size frag. I was like good newbie coral I won't kill.

The 2 small frags are galaxea

I actually like the way it looks. Also Galexea is stinging it so white in spots enjoying the fight
