Holy fricking shite you're drunk. Yes I rode in the back of a station wagon often as a kid. All the way to Panama city Beach.

Did you make her play dead sicko?
My parents had a station wagon when I was a kid. The back seat folded down into the floor, so we had lots of room to play while we rode around.

All the way from Shreveport to Orlando in 1976 on my first trip to Disneyworld as an eight year old kid. There were nothing but acres and acres of orange groves around the park at that time. I went back a few years ago and was amazed at the difference. Like a different place. Orlando was a sleepy little city at that time.
