Ordered a product that shipped on 1/8 from NY with no update

started researching the "USPS Shipping Partner" Lightinthbox.
Evidently it isn't a US company, nor do their products ship from New York. Everything from China, which is why there has been no shipping update for 10 days.
Why would the USPS tracking site need to be this dishonest?
ETA: link to lightinthebox.com which is evidently a chinese owned merchandise site.

Any chance that there is no real partnership with this company and USPS, and the chinese company is just being dishonest?
