So in other words, you don't make money. Spent 15 years in telecom from working in the field to planning and estimating jobs. Or should I say wasted 15 years?

Yeah, but you're getting telecom pay.

Indeed.com
RF Engineer Salaries
Average in Dallas, TX
$103,376 per year
?9% Above national average

My last raise and new bonus level have me slightly above that now. Not bad for a pup.

Someone worked in telecom for 5 years. And knows Dallas is/was one of the best markets for pay.

I was paid in San Diego dollars...which was nice

Please man. No I didn't work in "a lab". Have no idea what you're talking about. If you're a telecom guy, you don't either apparently. And no, you're not pulling six figures doing that. Not even close. If there was ever somebody who is lying about how much he makes, you are.

Base is probably in the mid 90's. Only taking into account being in Dallas, which you insinuate you are, and working for a major or at least contracted to a major.

What you described is what we call a contractor. People who we send out into the field to survey land as well as build the sites themselves.

I build those same sites in labs and make the actual MOP's for most TMO sites.

If you actually have done anything with WCDMA/LTE/LTE-A/5G with TMO you more than likely have had instructions sent to you from your boss who procured them from me.

So is your base in the mid 90s or mid 100's?

I'm confused.

My base is 97k. We get a 10% bonus on BRM and an added kicker on performance at the end of the year.

I work for Nokia NAM.

Also quick question for the Operators. Hows the healthcare package? I figured those are paid pretty well since yall work in a pretty hectic environment.

The dude just posted it from indeed, and you're saying he's lying. You can go look it up on 10 seconds. Is one of the largest and most reputable job sites on the internet fabricating salaries to help a guy prove a point on a message board?

I don't know why you have little man syndrome about plant baws. Hey they can make 100k they just have to work like slaves all night and holidays to do it. Good for them, but that's no way to live. And the fact that you think they're some gods because they can read a fricking needle in a pizza slice is laughable. They are uneducated, plant baws that lie about what they make or work 1000 hours of overtime. It's like you stupid fricks pass your W2s around. "my buddy is an operator and made 175k last year." yeah, I'm sure he told you that because stupid people lie.

So you will need two raises to actually get to where you started you are.

Meanwhile, an EE, with your same experience, in O&G is pulling down 125k with 15% bonus and (virtually) guaranteed 10% raises each year.

Same across the board for engineers and operators. Not quit to the level Obama would throw an extra tax on you for. The company usually covers your deductible on a high deductible plan by filling your HSA for you.

I know that. However, I am pretty happy here. Nokia is a great company to work for and place an emphasis on work-life balance.

The benefits are extremely good and I wouldn't trade my boss for another.

At this point, I think you're just trolling because nobody is that stupid.

Every Nokia engineer I knew would suck a dick (one girl literally) to get on with a provider.

And most of them spent a couple Saturdays in the office. Granted we were in actual applications so I'm sure the roles differed.

Mingo wants an operator to post his W2 so he can go home and beat off to it
