Exactly, appeasement is just asking for more of the same and Chamberlain almost doomed the world with that attitude.

Robert Mann is such a worthless sack of human shite. The fact that guys like him and that black law professor are allowed to continue teaching tells you all you need to know. These people are literally retarded, yet are praised by the university.

Third, I prefer not naming anything on campus after any individual, because all anyone focuses on these days is whatever that person did to offend or harm someone else. There are no universally good people.

frick that, that's exactly what these imbecile's want. You can't appease them. We see what happens when you give them an inch.

Is that sarcasm? If it is sorry, I'm still getting to know the posters here.

If not, black people did own slaves in this country and African slave trade is alive and well... many blacks have enslaved other blacks (lots were sold to westerns). Africa is where slavery originated over 100,000 years ago.

then dont go to LSU. There is another school right down the road that can offer an exclusive afrikan experience.

In fact that school down the road can name the streets and buildings whatever they want, and I'm not offended.

In my opinion, simply being associated with "Confederate" should not be a disqualifier on naming honors at LSU. After all LSU was located in a Confederate state at the time. The entire LSU enrollment at the time of the war left to join the Confederacy except for one student. After the war, these Confederates were pardoned by the US Congress. In legal terms that erases their crime or perceived crime. Later on the U.S. Congress passed a law making all Confederate Veterans, U.S. veterans. This is why they get U.S. Veterans Administration funded grave stones.

Forget the Confederate title and look at the man's contributions, whatever they are. As far as changing old names, I say leave them alone. Quit erasing history.

Remember when this all started last year, they were all, "We just want to remove a couple of statues. "

Look what that's become.
