Ditching social media and other time wasting this year. I want to learn some interesting stuff, but want a more entertaining and creative way of learning (dont love reading books). I got a sub to Coursera for some AI and medical education, but does anyone recommend apps for online learning? I've seen ads for animated history and stuff like that but don't remember what they were.

TED ED offers a wide range of topics of your interest to investigate. There is another, subscription based general education site I’ll post when I find it. I’ve purchased their DVD’s long ago.
Honestly, buy a sub to YouTube Premium and search for your topic. Best money I’ve spent on subs to eliminate the annoying ads. Avoid the AI generated videos which have become ubiquitous, seek out the real, human experts.
I think it was Issac Azimov the science fiction writer who said “ education is never finished” or in other words, remaining curious and learning throughout life is a good habit to cultivate. For me lately it’s been particle physics leading to quantum mechanics, something not emphasized when I was in college decades ago.
Will I ever fully understand it? Not at all, but I would like to know the general principles.

I am using Udemy for some certifications but the only downside is a lot of foreigners are used for narrators although a lot of them have CC.
