Ongoing fire at Airgas in Geismar, HWY 30 shut down between 73 and 3115

There is an active fire at Airgas located on Highway 30 in Geismar. The road will be shut down between Highway 73 and Highway 3115 due to the fire. We have no time frame how long the roads will be closed. We will keep you updated as first responders are actively working to put the fire out.
*River Road is not closed at this time. You may use that as an alternate route.

I was wondering why a cop was sitting on 30 and 3115. Didn't see a wreck or anything.

Oh shite. I used to work there about 10 years ago. Hope everybody is OK. I agree with the poster who said that he hopes it had nothing to do with their Oxygen or Hydrogen.

1 injured but he's been released from the hospital. Looks like it was in the lab, which is better than the cylinder yard
