You just taught your son a very valuble lesson. If you want something in life just come to daddy.

Guess it goes to show how times have changed over the years. Back in my day the only guys who didn't like muscle cars were the band geeks and prissy little preppy boys.

Things have not changed one bit. The parents might have changed - today's hipsters may WANT their kids in a Prius. But teens still want the same thing.

Thanks for all the great car advice, OT. You guys helped put a big smile on his face last night.

Did you tell him,"Look what dad and the O-T got you, Ace!"

He learned the same lesson I did - if you want to have nice things, bust your arse in school and in life. He's learning a standard of living that he will strive to maintain. His first year in high school, he posted above a 4.4 GPA with 4 honors classes. He's consistently in the 98-99th percentile on standardized tests. And he put in thousands of hours of training over 5 years to earn a World Championship in a sport he loves. He is a role model to kids all over the country. He earned it - and he knows that he must continue his path of excellence to continue the lifestyle he has earned.

I feed off the jealousy of the OT….The OT - where everyone pretends to be a baller, but loses their shite in frenzied bouts of jealousy when a real one steps into their midst.

World championship under what organization? I ask because I know someone who competed last month in Russia for the World Taekwondo Federation and the US didn't take anything over a Bronze.

You're right, everyone else is wrong. Im sure your son will grow up to be very, very successful in taekwondo or whatever. Just think of it, a "baller taekwondo person"... who ever heard of such?
