also why are you so dead set on on campus living? off campus is better.

No it isn't.

Dorm life sucks, but on campus apartments are the best of both worlds.

Spring 2014 is his first semester. By the end of this semester, he'll have 21 credits.

They aren't, but you REALLY think that there isn't demand for those apartments, and those who are already at LSU don't have an advantage over you?

This is the issue. On campus housing is in high demand right now but there is one currently in construction and another slated, however the current plans for future dorms are for only the north side of campus as far as I'm aware.

You still have to live by the university's rules.

I don't know about LSU, but at ULL, we weren't allowed to have alcohol in campus apartments or members of the opposite sex after 12AM.

1) Neither of those really apply at LSU

2) It's an apartment. The only time they check to see if you are following the rules is a single, pre announced trip at the start of semester where they cant check anything that isn't lying out.

Oh, well then nevermind.

Those were big issues for me. Sure they seldom checked the apartments like they did regular dorms, but god help you if you were caught.

The only rule to be careful about is weed smoking.

But again, it still happens.

What are the best off campus apartments that are cheap and relatively close? My friends and I have been looking at the burbank commons.
