Bro, do you even lift? 100lbs.?

Moving around a dead body is different than lifting a 45lb barbell with a 25lb plate on each side

This guy was out in the middle of nowhere, he could take his time moving the body around. She may not have even been dead yet when placed out by the lake

Dammit!
I hate agreeing with you but moving bodies is stupid harder than it should be.

Even if you grab them by the wrist or ankles and drag, it takes a strong grip.

By the way he bulked up from all of his pictures to the shots of him coming out of the courthouse and mugshot I'd say he has probably been juicing and working out a ton so I don't see a problem with him being able to throw a 100lb girl over his shoulder and carry her to a picnic table.

I get that but have you ever thrown a 100 lb deer or hog over your shoulder?

It’s not as easy as you’re making it sound. The dead weight displacement makes things a little awkward and difficult

Yeah once you get it on your should Sure the weight isn’t the issue. The shifting of weight is what makes it a challenge.

Something about that whole sitting up at the table deal seems really odd. Could totally be the case, but from everything we have heard they just happened upon her on the side of the road. It would just be so much more weird and twisted if she was in fact found like that. Man we need some facts to start coming out

I completely agree. It is much more sadistic and has a True Detective aura to it.

I get he's going to have a high powered attorney....but I also doubt he was near slick enough to truly discard what is likely a mountain of evidence against him. At best they can probably minimize the damage

unless he called his dad that night and they brought in

Can someone tell me why investigators chose to pursue Brandon Theesfeld? Did the two know each other?

Also why did they arrest him? What information led the investigators to him?

TIA

Wonder if they will try and push a self defense narrative? Seems like a fine line to walk, blaming a tiny little girl who you ultimately shot 8! times may not play well with a jury

Probably not self-defense, but his lawyers would want to prove that this is not premeditated to reduce the charge from capital murder (death penalty) to crime of passion.

What if his lawyer push for DNA testing on the fetus... Maybe to steer the narrative to possibly: he found out that the child was not his, in a fit of rage and betrayal, he killed her?

Man this isn’t Weekend At Bernie’s.

I’m not a expert on dead bodies but I don’t think you can just “prop up” a dead body to make it look like she’s looking out at the lake.

I took it as she was posed like she was sitting on the bench but slunched over with her head on the table.

But idk.

Disclaimer:
Guys -- I'm just going to share the Ole Miss rumor mill stuff as I get it. Figured that would make for a more fun thread. If it is something I firmly believe is true, I'll explicitly say that.

I don't see any way around the camera shot of the two of them from the gas station near Como.

Yes, they were in an on-again-off-again relationship for a while. Rumor is she was pregnant with his baby. We have texts from her to him detailing her pregnancy symptoms.

They haven't released their probable cause, but we have heard many things such as he had her belongings still on him, there was surveillance footage of them together just before, etc.

I'm sure they went off phone records and then tried to find him and couldn't, so they began looking. Then when they found him there are rumors he still had his gun and bloody clothes.

Apparently an on again off again relationship between them over the last couple of years

Besides rumors, all I know for certain is they were seen on a gas station camera close to where her body was found a few hours before she was found. This place is in the middle of nowhere

as long the cops and DA didn’t/don’t frick up money can’t save him from this crime

This is what I'm most concerned about. This isn't something Oxford/Lafayette County PD sees a lot of. Then you add in that he was found in Memphis. There's a lot of moving parts in that. I just hope that all LE depts followed the book to the 100th degree with the scene where she was found, wherever she was shot, where he was found, the evidence collected, and the transfer of the evidence from MPD back to Oxford. B/c if ANY of that is out of line, his lawyers will be all over it. All initial signs point to him doing it, and if he did; AND gets off b/c of some technicality in the transfer of evidence or something like that, then calling it a tragedy will be an understatement.

I feel for her family, b/c his lawyer team is about to drag her through the mud; which isn't deserved given what they have already been/are going through.

This is where the future of this case rests.

We'll see what Farese and Swayze can get thrown out due to police ineptitude.
