Yep Super Bowl VI in 1972 was the coldest one at like 39 degrees. It always seemed like from the videos that Super Bowl IX was colder but I think it was just wetter, windier and more overcast. Im sure people who were there can offer more insight.

Bama and Ole Miss played a Sugar Bowl in the old Tulane Stadium in the 60s and there was snow on the ground.

Got the old alex box? That would a fun memory project with enough photos to still get right. I would also ove to see the old part of tiger stadium with all of its nooks and crannies, ramps and previously old dorms thecway it was before they supersized it and made it more highrise than old stadium

Thanks for sharing this. I love looking at old pictures of stadiums. Tulane stadium was one that always fascinated me. I was born after it was gone but always wondered what it was like. It looks a lot bigger than I thought. Also, that’s interesting about the grandstands. My grandparents would always say it was very dark under the grandstands.

Yes.. everything i have seen has also confirmed its dark tone.. i found a vid.of Jack Whitaker before Superbowl IV during pregame and hes in that part under the concrete.. it just looks like hes in a garage with white columns.. I found 2 pictures of under there.. one was looking in at ramp 1 from the outside and the other was an obscure picture in the 1980 yearbook in a tribute of the top of the ramps near the portal pages .. im sure therevare others but they arent on the internet

There are some good ones of the demo though (pages 73-74) on archive.org if anyone wants to see it. They are not photos i have seen anywhere else.

It was VERY DARK on the Number One movie at 12:28 when the fans are exiting.. Was this the normal or just for the movie?
