We have the kick off for the new FWL with the very unique Money in the Bank 2020 tonight. I’m not one for pomp and circumstance like the previous (and very eloquent) FWL commissioner, so I’ll pitter patter and get at’er.

Men’s Money in the Bank match worth 25 points:
Daniel Bryan vs. King Corbin vs. Otis vs. Aleister Black vs. AJ Styles vs. Rey Mysterio.

Women’s Money in the Bank match worth 25 points:
Carmella vs. Shayna Baszeler vs. Nia Jax vs. Asuka vs. Dana Brooke vs. Lacey Evans

WWE Universal Championship match with the winner being worth 15 points with a 5 point bonus for method of victory:
Braun Strowman (c) vs. Bray Wyatt

WWE Championship match with the winner being worth 15 points with a 5 point bonus for method of victory:
Drew McIntyre (c) vs. Seth Rollins

WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship match with the winner being worth 15 points with a 5 point bonus for method of victory:
Bayley (c) vs. Tamina

Fatal 4-Way match for the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championships with the winner being worth 10 points and the method of victory being worth 2 points:
The New Day (Big E and Kofi Kingston) (c) vs. The Miz and John Morrison vs. The Forgotten Sons (Steve Cutler, Jaxson Ryker, and/or Wesley Blake) vs. Lucha House Party (Gran Metalik and Lince Dorado)

Additional Matches each worth 5 points:

MVP vs. R Truth

Jeff Hardy vs. Cesaro

I will be adding the rules for the Official Super Cash In to my next post. As also, make sure if you need to update your picks do so in another post before the start of the match. No picks made in an edited post will be rewarded any points.

The Official Super Cash In

What is that you may be wondering? Well it’s an opportunity for you to gain 100 FWL points per contract. That’s right, you can potentially win up 200 points with your picks.

So how will this work? Lucky for you I have some handy rules for you to follow when you make your picks for the Official Super Cash In

1. You will have from the moment the contract is won in each of the ladders match until the conclusion of RAW the next night to make your Official Super Cash In picks.*

2. The picks must be made in All bold letters with the designation of My Official Super Cash In is.... Once you make your pick, you are NOT allowed to edit that post. If you do, that pick will not count and not be eligible for points.

3. In your official pick you need to declare the event in which the cash in will take place - if a PPV then the name of the PPV; if a regular show, then pull up a calendar and declare the RAW/NxT/Smackdown for xx/xx/xx -, who they will cash in on, and what the outcome of the cash in match will be.**

Now for the fine print:

*+**: If an official cash in is announced before you have made your Official Super Cash In then you can not use that same scenario in your pick, however you can change one dynamic of the scenario.

For instance, let’s say Aleister Black wins the MitB match and comes on RAW the next night during the 9pm hour and says he will challenge Drew McIntyre for the title at summerslam. You would not be able to pick that scenario in your official pick, however if you believe that he will actually cash in the Raw before summerslam or the raw after that would be a valid selection.

One big thing I want everyone to keep in mind is that this is an ALL or NOTHING with the points. If you get all of the details correct, you get all 100 points for that Super Cash In. If you get any detail wrong, you will receive no points.

AJ Styles wins men's MITB
Asuka wins women's MITB
Braun Strowman pins Bray Wyatt
Drew McIntyre pins Seth Rollins
Tamina wins via DQ, meaning Bayley retains
New Day retains - Big E pins Miz

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
now for my reasonings behind my picks

Braun over Bray - Braun will eventually drop the belt to "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt, not Mr. Rogers Bray Wyatt

WWE will want Tamina to look strong but aren't putting the belt on her... so Sasha will interfere when it looks like Bayley's going to lose... that may even play into a GTV 2.0 segment

It'll be Cutler & Blake as the "tag team" portion of the Forgotten Sons while Ryker will be the singles wrestler of the group... Forgotten Sons will get the belts off of New Day eventually but it'll be in a clean 1 team-on-1 team match and not tonight

You have more issues than I thought....
Rt3 is overall a decent poster so I don’t mind his rad skin threads. You on the other hand are the worst poster on this whole site and now this....... sad indeed.

I assume you've also collected my picks for those 2 matches

I just want it to be known that if Bray Wyatt changes from "Mr. Rogers" to "The Fiend" during the match due to editing trickery... I immediately change my pick to "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt via pinfall

Current viewing... WWF In Your House: Final Four from the UTC Arena in Chattanooga, Tenn. on Feb. 16, 1997

why this show was so intriguing...

first off... it was the final WWF PPV before the bastion of greatness that was Wrestlemania XIII

quote:

"Final Four Match" for the vacant WWF Championship - eliminations occur via pinfall, submission, or "Royal Rumble" style thrown over the top rope with both feet touching the ground (then-WWF Champion Shawn Michaels had "lost his smile" 3 days prior)
"Stone Cold" Steve Austin vs. "The Hitman" Bret Hart vs. The Undertaker vs. Vader

This match's original build was to "settle the score" of the Royal Rumble where Austin had been eliminated, but the referees were out of position and didn't see it so he reentered the ring and eliminated Undertaker, Vader, and finally Hart to win the Royal Rumble match

(also of note... at the time of Austin's Royal Rumble "elimination"... "Fake" Diesel [Glenn Jacobs] was still in the match, but had been fairly eliminated by Hart right before Austin eliminated Hart)

as noted... HBK had "lost his smile" on Thursday Raw Thursday the week of this show and vacated the WWF Championship (in reality - it was to nurse a knee injury), so later on that night on Raw, WWF General Manager Gorilla Monsoon made the "Final Four" match for the vacated WWF Championship

Bret Hart's 4th WWF Championship reign lasted only ~24 hours as he dropped the belt to Sycho Sid on Monday Night Raw the next night

quote:

WWF Tag Team Championship Match -
Owen Hart & British Bulldog (c) vs. Doug Furnas & Phillip LaFon

Hart & Bulldog were in the middle of a break-up storyline... and there were the standard "mis-communications" of a team on the beginning of a break-up. highlighted by the ending where Bulldog was about to hit his finishing Powerslam on LaFon (IIRC) but Owen hit LaFon with the Slammy Award just before Bulldog executed the move... causing a DQ win for Furnas & LaFon though Bulldog & Owen retained the title

quote:

WWF Intercontinental Championship Match -
Rocky Maivia (c) vs. Hunter Hearst Helmsley

young Rock vs. young HHH... and the debut of Chyna

and if you're thinking "wait... didn't Chyna debut by almost murdering Marlena, which would mean a match against Goldust?" you are correct... Goldust & Marlena had come out to distract Helmsley which helped Rocky retain the title

perhaps better known to wrestling fans as the Can-Am Express

it's a familiar story in WWF/E

team gets popular in Japan (in this case... All Japan Pro... won the All-Asia Tag Team Titles 5 times... which was amazing for a couple of Anglos [an American & a Canadian])

gets signed to WWF/E

doesn't find the success in WWF/E that was maybe expected

goes to another American company (in this case ECW) and/or back to Japan

ETA: Wrestling Observer called their AJPW match against Kenta Kobashi & Tsuyoshi Kikuchi as 1992's Match of the Year
