police officer was shot
But, did not fire a shot.
I'd guess that's how the Broome and Paul would like these things to play out.

this was on PD Cam... that image you see was from the officer's body cam... which was actually in his glasses
the officer survived fortunately and was on PD Cam to do an on set interview about the incident
Sticks, is that you?

The police spokesman, L’Jean, actually made a statement last night about how proud they were that the officers didn’t shoot back. I couldn’t believe it. It has come to that. The police are afraid to defend themselves.

Body cam footage would be useful as both accounts are quite different.

JACKSON, Miss. (AP) — An attorney says his African American client was beaten by white law enforcement officers this month at a Mississippi roadblock, but a sheriff says officers told him the man appeared to be high on drugs and resisted arrest, injuring two officers.
quote:
Humphreys said officers from the sheriff’s department, the Water Valley Police Department and Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics were checking driver’s licenses at a roadblock when they pulled over Logan. The sheriff said officers told him that Logan got out of the vehicle and ran toward them twice. “He lowered his shoulder and tried to go through them,” Humphreys said. He said the officers used a stun gun on Logan and arrested him but didn’t beat him. One officer whose knee was injured during the confrontation is now working desk duties and will have to have surgery, and another officer receive injuries to leg ligaments. Humphreys said Logan is charged with possession of the controlled substance ecstasy, two counts of assault on an officer, one count of resisting arrest and one count of possessing drug paraphernalia. He said because Logan was hospitalized, he did not have to post bond. None of the officers involved has been placed on leave, Humphreys said. He said a grand jury will consider whether to indict Logan.

This sets a bad precedence going forward. Puts officers in an even more dangerous position when the TPOS knows they can shoot them without fear of getting erased from existence.
Way to embolden these pieces of shite SWB/CMP. Have a feeling that BRPD will be a lot more than 100 officers short in the near future. About to be Chicago south.
