Efforting. I hate that word. It's not even really a word.
Our accounting director will invariably tell me, when I call to ask have they closed the month yet will tell me that they are "efforting" to get that done. What the hell does that even mean? They are working on it? Say that then. Because efforting just sounds stupid.
We also have one manager in one of the departments that will call me (still calls me, even though I always transfer her to one of my people) the day after she receives her budget reports for the month because she "has a bone to pick with me about her personnel budget numbers." She's been doing it for two years.
