Previously tried posting this on the Tech board.

Does anyone know where I can get one of these (NuTone InHouse Radio/Record Player) serviced at in Baton Rouge? I recently bought a house that has one built in - it still works, but is static-y and has trouble tuning in a frequency. Also, the record player bar won't reach all the way down to the record surface.

It is a very charming and nostalgic piece and adds a lot of character to the house. I want to keep it but would like it to work better.

Any ideas?

Check with Shel-Boze on Woodale for repair. These are mono systems, not stereo so they'll never have a high quality sound. Some CRC contact cleaner on the volume knobs will cure some static. Check the antenna on the back of the master station for a loose connection. Possibly add a dipole antenna in the attic for replacement. They only run three or four bucks.
