blame it on people who report this as news and the perpetually offended who feed it.

Ironically it's often the same people that decry safe spaces in our colleges and universities.

The could stop it at any time, but they agree with it. Having said that, I don't think the media is the cause of the outrage. Kaep and Co are the cause.

If you care so little about everything, why are you constantly in these threads telling us how much we shouldn't care and how much you supposedly don't care?

right, they could, but why would they when people obviously care so much about this? this story is driving views/clicks, so they keep going at it to get more views/clicks

You do this all the time. You can just admit you care, it will be OK.

I care why you care...or at least am curious

Lecturing the board on how we shouldn't care about things, all the while posting all over the threads.

If you didn't care, you wouldn't come back to these threads like a fly to shite.

Just like our free speech to disagree with him is. No one has ever said he doesn't have the right to do what he did.

Then why the public backlash against it? I just don't see how it affects anyone at all. The worst thing you can do is give an idiot a lot of attention.

Serious question - I'm not trying for some kind of gotcha or anything - do you have a problem with him sitting during the anthem or the reasons for him sitting? If it is both, which one is the bigger issue in your opinion?

Both. But the bigger issue is why he's sitting. The police aren't oppressing one and only one race. There are zero stats to make that argument that hold water. It's ridiculous. Couple that with the fact it's all you hear on sports talk shows now for the mist part and Kaep can die in a fire for ruining what is supposed to be the start to the best time of the sports year.

Because they can.

So everyone should just not have an opinion when a public figure makes his opinion very public in a public protest?

I don't disagree, but that's on ESPN for not letting it go away.
