I didn't want to go to my own graduation and we didn't even have a speaker. I went so my parents could get that picture of me walking across the stage. I'm wouldn't be looking for attention, I would just have no interest in listening to the guy talk. A lot more important stuff to be doing.

Disrespectful?
Absolutely.
If a bunch of conservative students had booed and walked out on Obama or Biden giving a commencement speech, the media would be losing their minds over how disrespectful it would be.

I'd say walking out of a speech by a sitting VP giving a commencement speech just because you don't agree with his politics show a lot more butthurt than anything in this thread, but what do I know?
no, it shows they don't give a hoot and likely won't think about this even a week from now. you're butthurt. ND chose their speaker poorly

Having the chance to get a sitting vice president is choosing poorly...wtf? The irony of the whole situation is that these students are protesting Pence's political policies (pro-life, anti gay marriage), but chose Notre Dame (a Catholic university) and Pence's positions on those issues are similar to what the Catholic Church also believes.
