Yup. Steven Hatfill. Worked at a lab affiliated with LSU, if memory serves. May even have been a professor at some point.

It's been a while, but my recollection is that LSU did an OK job standing by Hatfill, but eventually there was a falling out.

So the government lies to get us in Iraq, which causes the deaths of thousands of Americans and millions of Iraqis, but it's beyond reason to suggest that certain elements of the government wouldn't concoct an anthrax scare with the hope of drumming up support for said war? The anthrax case was in October 2001. The ABC News report was the first "evidence" presented trying to link Saddam to Al Qaeda and Islamic terrorism. And after the government spent almost 7 years publicly blaming Hatfill, who was exonerated and paid millions, why all of a sudden did Ivins become a suspect?
