Man, that is way before the 70's. Probably late 50's-early 60's. That's a Wheelo if I remember correctly.

They weighed 500 pounds. Once it broke people would just use it as furniture rather than move it.

Did you have the console tv with the record player in the top? My older sister had one of those. I thought it was the coolest thing ever.
I had the personal "juke box" that had lights that flashed to the beat of the music. With an 8 track player of course.

Yeah, I had a bigass Curtis Mathes console TV. No remote.
