So now the Uvalde chief chose not to enter. Treated it like a barricaded subject.

What you are seeing is the repurcussions of people who got the promotions by way of clique, connections, " one of the boys " instead of by Merit.

Remember the old cop tv shows where they would always say “no time for backup” now it’s let’s wait for back up and their back up.

It's Uvalde, TX. Those guys probably make slightly above minimum wage. Not excusing them, but you're not going to attract high speed hard charging individuals to a department like that.
