It would be spun as a way to clean up "street life". Erase a beautiful urban culture..racist..etc.

The roads off S. Carrollton, including either side of St. Charles appear to a non-native to have been intentionally cratered. Like an insurgent group is trying to limit movement of the authorities around the area - similar to Mogadishu.

Was with a few girls from Missouri a few years ago for Mardi Gras and they pretty much said the same thing

They seriously couldn't believe a city would let their main roads get so bad

How would you fix the roads that have decades of pavement and concrete overlay that in some areas the concrete is 5-7 feet deep? Then if you undo those band aids, you're going to uncover more problems which deal with water and sewer lines.

There's a reason why some roads haven't been and will never be fixed.

I think the roads are one of those problems that can never actually be fixed because the city is built on a fricking swamp. By the time you fix one set of roads the last set you were working on needs more repairs.

I'd vote for you but the big problem is the budget. Take a look at the millages on your property taxes and get really depressed. We can't make any cuts to those ridiculous millages. More money goes to the libraries and the aquarium than the roads.

This is a common misconception. NOL

I've seen the 5-7' of concrete slabs used as roads with my own eyes. There's no misconception
