British people, like any other western group of people, put care into making sure their teeth are healthy but they DGAF or have a fascination like Americans do about making sure they are straight and white

I've lived in England since 2004...
My observation is that in general more "average" people have crooked teeth in the UK than I notice in America, however, I don't think their oral hygiene is any different.
I think in general there is less emphasis on getting braces and retainers in adolescence than in America. This is most likely because they basic dental services are subsidised by the NHS (free health care), but in MOST cases braces/retainers are not, so people here are less likely to pay the extra to get them fixed.
I reckon if you compare poverty line people in America to poverty line people in the UK the propensity for crooked teeth/poor oral hygiene is probably no different.

Er-ah, I got this one.
It’s a well-known fact that as the British Isles lie in a more Northerly Hemispheric position in general than the good ole US of A, the additional rotational pressure put on young Brits’ teeth pulls their teeth further out of alignment. Kinda like being raised in a moving Tilt-A-Whirl there Normy.
