If the rotors aren't damaged it takes longer to remove the tire than to change the pad. The pads are held in with 2 pins that slide out

Just changed brake pads on my truck and GF car Sunday morning. Took all of 2 hours and that was only because of the way the jap automakers bolt the calipers on.. I would have been done 45 minutes earlier if I didn't fight that.
