I work as a child advocate. Once a parent loses their child it's near impossible for a judge to award them back full custody. This lady had to work her arse off to be allowed to get her kid back. Being that most of her addiction was at a young age and she was able to show some maturity and sobriety probably helped. Good for her.
Last thing a judge ever wants to do is give a kid back to a parent and then something happen to the kid down the road. They make damn sure these parents are fit to get their kids back.
