I've always had good luck and gotten great mileage out of Michelins, but they are expensive. Sams or Costco will have some deals on them.

I put some Toyos on one car and I liked them at first, but had a blowout and replaced them with Goodyears, which have been just fine.

Got some Hankooks on my truck now and I like them alright.

Do research on the Tire Rack site, then shop for price.
