I try not to demean faith, I’d call myself agnostic, but the thing that I find interesting is the human need to personify existence. Meaning if God has always existed, than why can’t existence itself have always existed, why does existence need a grand creator but not God.
On the flip side, I find it interesting that humans have always worshipped since the dawn of man. Most scientists universally believed that humans created religion once they developed communities, agriculture, domesticated animals... basically free time to build, discover art and religion. Now we know that’s not the case, the people we thought of as Neanderthals or simply hunters and gatherers were highly intelligent and worshipped higher beings. There’s many examples but Gobekli Tepe is worth diving into.
There’s a bit of hypocrisy there by fellow alien nuts. We want to believe that ancient stories of sky children give credence to aliens, yet we discount religion or at best try to lump them together with one being the cause of the other. Okay I’m done writing novels.
