[quote]WTI crude was last up 21 cents to $69.57 per barrel, up from $68.62 a week ago, while Brent crude was up 50 cents per barrel to $74.13, up from last week’s $72.51 per barrel level.

WTI is a widget which various sources are usually indexed to.

Drill Baby Drill will keep up total production rate and that's about it, as 10-15 year old wells dry up. The only reason we got $2 gasoline in 2020 was because oil production was losing money as was refining without any demand due lockdowns

I was honestly being a smartass. Sitting us president has very little to do with the global oil market. political "victories" or "defeats" using that as a metric is dishonest either way.

I know I started seeing stickers in early 2021 because I lost my job end of 2020 and took a new job for all of 2021 and remember seeing the stickers at the gas station i used to fill up at on the way to work.

A Rice Tour Research Group chemistry post doc performing research on single wall carbon nanotubes and designed the first equipment to make the first single wall nanotube wire lost his job and that research went cold because big oil and big oilfield services had to slash their R&D budgets with the 2014 price collapse.
