SIAP. Searched “Mr. Wonder and didn’t see anything.

Apparently he took a plea deal for one count of indecent behavior with a juvenile and got a retroactive 5 year sentence.

My dad told me about the story about this guy years ago and I remember thinking it sounded like something right out of a Law and Order episode.

Any older OT Cenla/NELA residents remember his show and when this all went down?

Yes. I was on his show in Monroe once. Luckily I did not attend the camping trip in Cenla.

I was in the scouts, in CENLA during that time and we got KNOE (of course), but I don't recall watching the show or hearing anything about it.

Our camp was at Jena (Trout) - Monroe's camp was in Downsville. I don't remember anything about a Lake Valentine "retreat" - or any Monroe scouting folks doing anything in Rapides Parish back then.

Would have been strange, anyway, as scouting was insanely regional back then - except for a handful of events during the year.
