I know from experience doing land title searches, Broussard is one of the most common names in Louisiana.

I have it on high authority that the two chodemunches who made that infographic are literally retarded people.

I mean there are like 6 states sharing borders with "Jensen." Da fuq? These imbeciles don't know what the word distinctive means in any sense.

In Mississippi, Ladner comes to mind. Cuevas & Necaise are also popular, but I'm more familiar with South MS so I can't really speak to the rest of the state.

More specifically in Hancock County MS. You forgot Hoda and Curet

It's Faverray, Woogie.

What do they mean by distinctive?

They took the top 250 last names in the country and compared the prevalence in each state to the national prevalence. Whichever name for each state had the largest variance from the national prevalence is the most "distinctive" name for that state. Boudreaux and other "Cajun" names that are certainly more prevalent in LA than in the rest of the nation don't appear because they don't meet the criteria of being in the top 250 nationwide.
