Beaumont's skyline looks like a city that peaked economically about 1930 (most of it's tallest buildings are from that period). I will say that the downtown area has had some improvement since the days I used to visit my grandparents there as a child in the 70's and 80's. Just a little though. It's still a dump overall.
That's about right.
Beaumont has been stagnant since 1960. It's peak growth period was 1940-1950.
And that's a very depressing downtown for mid sized city.

Shanghai certainly has a good skyline.

Yeah, I used to hear stories from my mom, who grew up there, about going downtown to shop or see a movie at the Jefferson when she was a child in the 40's and 50's, and it definitely sounded like better times for that place.

Both Shreveport and BR are both equally quite average, but I would personally go with the skyline that has the distinction of having the tallest building in the South for roughly two decades as second.
Once again, your showing the one cluster of office buildings in shreveport, there are like 5 tall and wide additional high rise hotels that all blend together when you drive in. BR has one building and two other (arguably tall buildings/ old Hancock and Chase double, both underwhelming). The capitol is the 7th tallest building in the state. It is less than 100 feet taller than Regions in Shreveport and shreveport/bossier has other buildings to look at, BR has two other buildings and apocalyptic refinery scenery I guess.

Dothan's pretty much stinks. That thing on the right isn't even commercial. It's some kind of cop hangout.
I know, it's Dothan. It's the center of a CSA of around 280,000 people, though.
