Ever since I moved from Central 6 years ago I am not sure I have traveled Florida Blvd since.

Another vote for Southdowns. Easy access to interstate - I-10 or I-12. Close to all the LSU sporting events. Good private schools. Close to Baton Rouge High, Glasgow, Walnut Hills, etc. if you want to go the public route.
