I was in a frat at La tech back in the day late 90s

Sundown
Brass lantern
Ezra and Stoneybridge
Rabbs steakhouse took off later during my time there … then a girl got ran over killed one night
That was end of the place I thought.

Apparently not.

Was in Ruston with kids for travel ball last year … didn’t hardly recognize the place.

Enoch's is fantastic and yeah it's not some vast spread out place but that's kind of the point. I wouldn't want it to be

Not a fan. The bar is way too small and the servers are rude af.

One of the more demoralizing hits was watching live oak open, saw what they put into making it a top notch venue and just as quickly shut down cause no one supported that.

Live Oaks didn’t shut down due to lack of support.

They shut down because they kept serving minors alcohol and the ATF would raid it.

It was always packed.

Ruston is the worst place in LA. Such a close-minded, hostile place from my short times I've been in that place

That's how Alexandria and all points north in Louisiana can feel to an outsider. My dad was a minister. We moved sometimes yearly.

I resided in Arcadia, Vivian, Haynesville, Many and Lake Providence in my youth. If you're not from there, it can be tough.

I've lived in NO, Alex, Monroe, and Ruston and never felt that or even seen a situation where I could see how it would be felt. You're saying people were hostile to you for being from S LA? Not saying it didn't happen but I'm just having a hard time imagining
