When authorities arrived, they spoke with the victim, who stated that her three-year-old son was riding his bike outside when her neighbor, 20-year-old Juvain Keys, allegedly let his dog outside without a leash.

The victim also reported that the dog charged at her son, and Keys did not attempt to stop the dog. The victim advised that she ran to retrieve her son and took him inside her house.

The victim informed her son’s father about the events that took place outside, and he proceeded to go to the suspect’s home in an attempt to speak about the situation. The father claims that when speaking to Keys, he threatened to shoot him.

Authorities spoke with the suspect after advising him of his Miranda rights. Keys claimed that the father came to his residence and was disrespecting him and that the gun was a toy.

The gun officers were given did not match the one that was seen in a video.
