I really doubt it's part of an elaborate heel turn but I guess it's not impossible.
Roman wasn't mentioned at all on Smackdown, whose main event centered around Ambrose feuding with Rollins.

They have to talk about it. It's pretty much public knowledge, and them not mentioning it would make them look really silly

Plenty of other people have been suspended for wellness policy violations. We all know about it because WWE announces it on their website. I can't remember it ever being mentioned on tv though.

the problem here is that less than 12 hours before that announcement they set up the triple threat WWEWHC match for BG

I am watching the PPV now and am on his match with Mark Briscoe now (so no spoilers, you jerks). Probably won't finish it before Raw starts.

The suspension ends on Friday before the ppv. The match is still on. Roman is expected to work the house show the night before Battleground.
